Rich Castro has taken the friendships, fears and frustrations of teenage life and crafted a high-octane fantasy adventure that demonstrates why underestimating the talents and tenacity of young people is rarely a good idea

Within a few pages, as the characters and Anasius were introduced I was gripped, looking forward to finding out what happened next. Rich Castro paints pictures of the people and the places in a vivid and detailed way which draws the reader in to each scene. The manner in which Rich Castro takes the reader in to out of Anasius gives the book a pace and rhythm which is enthralling to the very end. The contemporary references and the issues with which Rich Castro engages will chime with teenagers and adults alike. I have already recommended the book to others and I hope that it may even be made in to a TV series, it is that good!

I bought this book as I was trying to get back into reading, and found that I couldn't put it down. It is a complete page-turner with a miraculous storyline and admirable character development. I was in absolute awe of the world that has been created flawlessly and with such admirable imagination. I would recommend it to any reader, teen or adult, it has something for everyone. I'm looking forward to more of Castro’s work!

Really exciting - slight hints for the unexpected twists to be revealed, drew me in, I couldn't put it down.

I brought this thinking about gifts for young friends but I always like to read a book before I give it away so I started reading, and honestly, I just kept reading (brief stops for meals and sleep) but finished it within 24 hours! It was such a great read, I loved the interweaving of the story - back and forth in place and time.
